Angela came to my class as a newly divorced single mom. She had quit her old job working at a mortuary and wanted to get into nursing. She worked extremely hard to complete the course and get certified. Through the help of a close friend, she was able to land a job at Hoag hospital labor and delivery unit. She has been balancing work schedule, home schedule being a single mom, and school schedule as she has been working hard to complete her pre requisites to apply to nursing programs. She is an example to a lot of my students who are starting as a CNA and are working toward finishing their education to become RNs while working and supporting her family. She deserves to be recognized and celebrated in my opinion. Thank you for this opportunity to share her story.
