About the Adult Education Students Succeed Program
California adult education provides educational opportunities and services to equip adults with the knowledge and skills necessary to participate effectively as citizens, workers, parents, and as family and community members. Adult education instructional programs ensure that adults have the education and skills required for a competitive economy and a better quality of life. OTAN invites nominations of adult education learners who are successful as a result of the education received at adult education agencies for the California Adult Education Students Succeed program.
Adult students are served by school districts, community colleges, community or faith-based organizations, volunteer literacy organizations, public or private nonprofit agencies, public libraries, state agencies, correctional facilities, the California Conservation Corps, the California Youth Authority, and the California Department of Developmental Services. Adult education agencies are welcome to submit nominations of outstanding students to the Students Succeed program.
