The Health Unit Coordinator program at Sunnyvale-Cupertino Adult Education was developed to provide training for the position of administrative staffing in a hospital unit. The program teaches the flow of work and the functions of various means of communication between the patients, doctors and nurses. The students expand on the basics of human communication, learn to trouble shoot potential problems, schedule testing with appropriate preparation, comfort the bereaved and process all physician orders accurately in a timely manner. This is a very responsible position in a unit and one that fulfills a function that the unit would not be able to do without.

We are always in search to understand what motivates our students to learn. Our teaching staff develops action plans to maximize learning. We often seek out and share learning resources and experiences that meet diverse needs of our students.
