Salinas Adult School

20 Sherwood Place
Salinas, California 93906

The mission of the Salinas Adult School is to provide quality lifelong educational opportunities and services responding to the unique needs of individuals, and the community at large.

Creative Living serves adults and older adults through many subject areas and special events. We are closely linked with the community. Our quilting program supplies quilts to neo-natal hospital units and day care programs (for impaired elders). The students are community oriented and closely linked in support of a school they love. They bring richness to the school each year through our yearly art, quilt, and craft show. Teachers Andrea Van Outryve and Bev Spenser bring the joy of fabric art and community together.

The Adult Program is committed to excellence by meeting the needs of older learners in a safe, caring environment while providing opportunities for lifelong learning, encouraging community involvement and fostering personal warmth and dignity.

The Creative Living Program was awarded the distinction of "Outstanding Educational Site of the Year 1999" by the Monterey County SELPA Community Advisory Committee.
